The Carol Adams block of the Great American Aran Afghan was so easy I was surprised to note that it wasn't on the list of the five easiest!
The pattern consisted of three charts. I found the cables on either side a great introduction to reversible cables, which I've read about but never tried. And the center diamond motif in eyelets and garter stitch was easy as could be. Three diamonds and the pattern is done.
I was a little alarmed at the shape and size of my block when I cast it off the needles. It really didn't look like it would block out to 12 inches square, being very wide and not very tall. But it did.
This is another one of those blocks that I'm not absolutely in love with, but it will compliment the ones I do love nicely.
Next block: Ada Fenick
Interesting that you don't love this one, because when the photo popped up I thought, "That's my favorite so far!" It would make a neat afgan by itself I think...
